![]() Impeach George Bush So Many Scandals, So Little Time Has anyone else noticed the profusion of scan'lous George W Bush Administration Books lately? Why are there entire books written on the subject, but nothing in the newspapers? On CNN? ABC? CBS? NBC? We know why its not on FOX... Source: The TIP, 2004-04-30 Candidate: TheTIP If your library is anything like mine, its quickly filling up with the books written by, for and about former and current Bush Administration officials. If I try to name them all, I'm sure I'll forget some. But starting with the Bugliosi examination of the legal outrage that led to the coronation of Bush by the Supreme Court and ending with today's publication of Ambassador Joseph Wilson's examination of the treasonous activities that led to 1) Bush using what he knew to be bogus "British" intelligence in his State of the Union speech wherein he laid out his rationale for going to war in Iraq, there is scads of evidence of how rotten this administration really is. But why is so little of it in the newspapers? Where are the Bernstein and Woodwards who doggedly sniff until they've found the trail that leads to the prey? Freedom of the Press is more than just freedom to say what one will. Freedom of the Press is a vital component in our free society - the press is supposed to be our watch-dog that threatens to expose illegal and immoral actions by our elected officials to either keep them honest or indict their actions when they fall into disrepute. Today, our press in snugly imbedded in government, however. Tonight is the Big Night in Washington when all the Washington Journalists will hob-nob and rub shoulders with the very people they're supposed to be watchng. The Foxes are partying with the Hounds. And the Chickens are getting axed. Our government, from the lowliest bureaucrat to the President, are our fellow citizens. None of them are any better than our local drunk asleep in the bushes in the park - and more than a few have been acting just like our drunk lately. When they do, when they abuse their authority, alarms should be ringing all over the place. Instead, Wolf Blitzer, Tom Brokaw and Matt Druge wink and nod, hoping the next time they need a favor they'll be owned one. Tonight, at the Bloomberg After Party, keep your eyes on the guest list. Anyone who's there has sold their soul to the enemy and has compromised themselves - they're all a bunch of whores - the only question now is, what's the price?
