Kerry's Taking The Fall

Six weeks after the 911 Commission Report is published, the silence is deafening...Where is the outrage?

Source: The TIP, 2004-09-13

Candidate: Democratic Party

Elizabeth Dru's review of the 911 Commission Report is published in the New York Book Review this week. She seems to be the only journalist interested in reading the whole thing and reviewing it...the only one who believes its important enough.

But this review is not going to be read by the Average American Voter(AAV). The AAV doesn't read the New York Book Review. Dru's article needs to be in People, US, the Enquirer! Any manuscript that will end up in a barber shop, beauty parlor or dentist office. I've never seen the New York Book Review at the Pediatricians!

Well, alright, the "Media" is either or both asleep or bought-off. We understand that. But what about John Kerry/John Edwards? Not a peep?

According to Dru, the Commission Report does not containn any conclusions. The Strength and the Weakness of the Commission was its bi-partisanship-ness. (I would have preferred non-partisanship-ness, but that concept is completely foreign to our government.)Strength because the com
mission acquired credibility and access through bi-partisanship. Weakness because it forced the commissioners to bow to the sensibilities of the "other team", not pointing fingers, not laying blame.

So, when the White House was finally FORCED to give the commission access to the Presidential Daily Briefings, to know What the President knew and When he knew it, the now famous memo titled "Bin Laden determined to attack the United States" was revealed. Both National Security Advisor Condaleezza Rice and President Bush are on record as considering this bit of intelligence, given to them more than a month before the attack on the Towers, historical. (Bin Laden USED to be determined to attack the US?) And so the record stands.

Except, according to the Commission Report, the CIA agents that prepared that bit of "history" didn't consider it historic at all.
The record doesn't stand there at all! The record is now, No, the memo was NOT historic, and anyone claiming it was is both 1)in
competant and 2)covering their asses.

The 911 Commission did not draw conclusions. It expected the media to do its job. Clearly, the media is not.

But what about John Kerry? George Bush is basing his claim to another four years soley on the premise that he protected us on 911 and he's protecting us today. That is a lie. The very fact that 911 is now part of the American Consciousness is proof positive that Bush et al did NOT protect us then. And the rising incidents of terrorist activities is proof positive that Bush's policies are not protecting us today.

Bush can't run on domestic policies. Everything he's done has turned to dust, or worse.

So, why the silence from the Democrats?

The fix is in. Kerry's taking a dive.
