Impeach George Bush

Let's Start A War

A Gas War. Here's a plan that might work. At least it's worth a try.

Source: The TIP, 2004-03-01

Candidate: TheTIP

Join the resistance!!!!

It has been hear we are going to hit close to $3.00 a gallon by the summer.
Want gasoline prices to come down? We need to take some intelligent,
united action. Phillip Hollsworth offered this good idea:

This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas on a certain day"

campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies

just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt"

ourselves by refusing to buy gas. It was more of an inconvenience to

us than it was a problem for them. BUT, whoever thought of this idea,

has come up with a plan that can really work.

Please read it and join with us!

By now you're probably thinking gasoline priced at about $1.50 is
super cheap. Me too! It is currently $1.97 for regular unleaded in my

town. Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have

conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at

$1.50- $1.75, we need to take aggressive
action to teach them that

BUYERS control the marketplace....not sellers. With the price of

gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action.

The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we

hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their gas!

And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. How? Since we all

rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas. But we CAN have an

impact on gas prices if we all act together to force a price war.

Here's the idea: For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY
gasoline from the two biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON

and MOBIL. If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to

reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies

will have to follow suit. But to have an impact, we need to reach

literally millions of Exxon and Mobil gas buyers.

It's really simple to do!! Now, don't whimp out on me at this point...keep
reading
and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

I am sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to,
at least, ten more (30 x 10 = 300) ... and those 300 send it to at least
ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000)...and so on, by the time the message

reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over

THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get excited and

pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been

contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it.....

THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Again, all You have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all. (If you
don't understand how we can reach 300 million and all you have to do
is send this to 10 people.... Well, let's face it, you just aren't a

mathematician. (But I am ... so trust me on this one.)

How long would all that take? If each of us sends this email out to ten
more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION
people could
conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!! I'll bet you I didn't
think you and I had that much potential, did you! Acting together we
can make a difference.

If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on. PLEASE HOLD

OUT UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE $1.30 RANGE

AND KEEP THEM DOWN. THIS CAN REALLY WORK

why limit it to exxonmobil when you could embargo
the saudi oil using companies at the same
time?

question:
if exxon-mobil merges with
chevron-texaco, what will be the name of the new
company?

answer:
standard
oil

if 'trust busting' were such a great
thing in teddy roosevelt's day, why is going in
the opposite direction such a great thing
today?

all this nonsense reminds us once
again of this neo-con militancy that is now
gripppppppping the country.
hey, we're
reliving those wunderschoen years of the mccarthy
era. i guess old conservatives need to have fun,
too?

some comments:

warning:
this text contains language unsuitable for bush
supporters or the weak minded -- but then i repeat
myself.

the bush conservatives: a
poll of sorts

because of today's ap-ipsos
poll, we now know who those bush supporters

are, and it's not a pretty sight. they are
married, white, protestant
males who live in
the suburbs. interestingly, their wives are just
as
likely to support kerry in the next
election. those little conflicts
aside, we
would like to add something to the ap-ipsos poll,
based not
on science but on our observations,
conversations, and the occasional
hate mail
we receive. here, according to otr, is the rest of
the story,
the dark psyche of bush
conservatives.

conservatives are
intolerant of new ideas. to conserve, of course,

means to keep things the way they were. when,
we don't really know, but
it's quite a long
time ago, given that conservatives would like to
back
up more than thirty years on abortion,
more than forty years on civil
rights, thirty
or so years on affirmative action, over sixty
years on
social security, and all the way
back to the stone age when it comes to
war.
what they are conserving, it seems, is a militant
intolerance for
anything they don't
understand, anything that threatens their rigid

little lives and their myopic view of the
world.

neither are conservatives
interested in intellectual activities. their

wives may be, but the average white male
suburban prefers sports to
art, television to
literature, and beer to wine. they would prefer
not
to think, and if they must, they think
about money, how they can make
it, hoard it,
p-ss it on to their little white children who have
no
hope but to grow up like daddy. the lawn
mower goes in this corner of
the garage, and
the weed whacker goes here. junior will learn, of

course, because nurture beats nature every
time.

in our less-than-scientific poll
we also found that conservatives
(especially
the bush kind) mistrust science. they believe that
the
world was created in six days. a
religious radio station the other day
--
sorry to be vague, but we were driving -- did its
best to cast doubt
on the dating of rocks.
why? so they could interpret the bible

literally, of course, which is what another
poll (a scientific one)
found that 60% of
americans did. noah built an ark. the earth in six

days. all of us are here because we got on
that boat. we wonder,
though, what their
wives would say.

this poll of ours
also found that bush conservatives are racist,

although not a one of them would admit it.
instead, they mentioned how
important it was
that no one be given preference because of skin
color,
how awful it was to be a single
mother, how anyone can work their way
out of
poverty if they are ambitious and competitive.
they are against
affirmative action,
naturally, because it goes against the principles

of fairness: it is unfair to give blacks a
break. never mind that it
was those white
male protestant suburbanites who forced africans
to
come here in the first place, to work for
nothing but half-rations and
the threat of a
whipping. to be raped and beaten.

and
violence comes to these folks easily. our poll
found that the vast
majority of bush
conservatives were eager to "kick the s**t out of"

osama bin laden, saddam hussein, muslims, and
john kerry. any liberal
was fair game,
according to the poll. those anti-american, pinko,

commie peacenik queers. ah, the mccarthy
era, let us relive it now with joy!

our
last question was about george bush. in our
unscientific poll, we
asked conservatives
what they thought of him. rapture. he is their
savior, their protector, the man who will lead
them out of the wilderness to a new age of
enlightenment. he will make the world in his

image, this white male protestant sexless
racist rigid world they can
almost taste. and
the election? we have only begun to diebold.

let's hit the beach!
bring it
on!
