It should be obvious that there's something wrong with the economy with the highest unemployment and bankruptcy rates EVER. But what exactly is wrong with it - Corporate Misconduct.

That's right, crooks stealing money from investors to buy boats and sports teams. Just the SEC open investigation list is enough to make one quiver. But how many people are getting their stolen money back? Are these guys going to jail? What exactly is the penalty for these super-crooks? For the most part, nothing, nada, zilch.

Enron - Ken Lay - still not in prison and giving evidence for buddy Dick Cheney. No returned money.

WorldCom executive Scott Sullivan pleaded innocent to new federal charges - Alaska steps it up. Still no jail, no returned money.Qwest - Grant P. Graham of Evergreen, Colo., chief financial officer for Qwest's global business unit; Thomas W. Hall of Englewood, Colo., senior vice president in the global business unit; John M. Walker of Littleton, Colo., vice president in the unit; and Bryan K. Treadway of Atlanta, assistant controller. - no jail, no money returned.Charter - Paul Allen loans the company 300 Million after the SEC starts its probe. No jail, no money returned.

Adelphia - Rigas, the former CEO of Adelphia and majority owner of the Sabres, has been accused of stealing hundreds of millions of dollars from Adelphia and leaving the Sabres in financial ruin. No money returned, no jail.
