![]() Impeach George Bush World Domination II - Britain Makes war on Iraq? Britian has reluctantly joined the anti-Iraqi gang. Simultaneously, Oil prices go up while more than 100 US and Brittish planes do fly-overs in Iraq Source: Thetip, 2002-09-02 Candidate: Big Government Oil Prices have reached their highest in a year while Britain's foreign secretary joins the threat-language saying: "It would be wildly irresponsible to argue that patience with Iraq should be unlimited, or that military action should not be an option". Then Tony Blair comes up with: "Let it be clear that there can be no more conditions, no more games, no more prevaricating, no more undermining of the U.N.'s authority. ... And let it be clear that should the will of the U.N. be ignored, action will follow." But is the UN a sovereign nation? Does the UN declare war and enforce international law? Are these duly elected representatives of the people of any country? The joint US and Brittish threat of war over Oil Prices underlines the correlation between war and oil - significantly underlined by both GW Bush and Dick Cheney's massive personal involvement in the oil and defense industries.Meanwhile, back in the Senate, Tom Daschle, the supposed democratic opposition continues the rhetoric of war on the Democratic side: "I'm more concerned about getting this done right than getting it done quickly," said Senator Tom Daschle of South Dakota. This dual-party support for this war without cause underlines the falsity of the duality between Republicans and Democrats who both have the same things on their minds - power, money, oil, war.But Daschle's reluctance to move quickly on the Iraqi matter underlines a pretty good political move on his part. If the Republicans can force a war before the next election, they can continue their attempt to make the American People ignore the massive failure of the current administration both in foreign and domestic policy. But if Daschle's stalling game works, the Democrats have a chance at solidifying their hold on both the House and Senate, hopefully making Bush a Lame-Duck.But even a Lame-Duck president and a Democratic Congress can land us in un-necessary wars. Only the cry of the American Poeple in firm opposition to war can stop the madness on the Hill. Add a comment to this Message in our Forums. While you're at it, check out our forums too! User Originated Comments: From: Jenna 2004-08-13 15:50:54 i think everyone has forgotten about september 11th and its just pathetic.what did you idiots want..us not to do anything afterward..dont you guys remember when everyone came toether and wanted to fight the war against terrorism..well who the f--k said it would be done overnight..make up your minds..afterwards did you want us to go and find the guys responsible and "talk" about it??get over yourselves you damn unrealistic people.sadam is a main contributor to terrorism and if you guys want to live in your little lala land bubbles well theirs only one way to do that and thats well...give them a taste of their own medicine.i will vote for bush again and again just cause we need to get real...face it wether you like it or not your an american and we have to watch out for ourselves From: Young voter peeved 2004-06-14 08:53:44 for goodness sake the war is about oil but not as most people make it out to be. i think the us needs the draft. if what i'm hearing is true, young soldiers just can't take the heat put on them when they are shipped over to iraq. what in the world were they thinking when they joined the miliatary?!!! young people don't want war because they are too chicken to fight and bear it out. they've been living too soft in the good ole usa. i know i have too but if i was drafted to fight, i'd fight. i'd rather fight than chicken out and go home disgraced. that's worse than not fighting--chickening out. what a bunch of whiny faced wimps! go to iraq and don't come back! From: not wishy washy 2004-06-14 08:47:48 i think that the english were strongly against the war from the beginning. no big news. however, england has other issues that factor to why the reluctantly oppose the war as well. for one thing, the nation is involved with the european union where germany, russia, and france oppposed the war. england just wants to be in good favor here. another thing is that fear caused most likely by what happened to spain makes the nation not want to support the war. any nation, england included, does not want to have a war where they would have to make any sacrifice and support man-power wise and money-wise unless drastic actions occur towards that nation. so it's not whether they support the war or not, it's whether what is in it for them when the war is victory or defeat. nobody wants the latter. From: vicky 2004-04-28 08:47:21 i think it all should have been sorted and dealt with at the first gulf war. many people are losing their lives, for what, unfinished buisness? please for everyones sake, get it over and done with now, finish it all off. i'm not saying stop it all, i'm saying get in there and finish it properly! From: Jakal 2004-02-26 00:00:00 would just like to say that 2 good friends of mine who has just got back from iraq one said that it is hell over there he was shot at a number of times, he got sent home because he said an iraqi stabbed him in his leg persoanlly i think he did it himself to get out of there. the other just went on a rampage stealing cars etc which i did not approve of but hey there all kids over there. when asked if we get to see anything of the "war" rob said "you get to see f--k all!", when i asked him why do you think we went to war his answer "oil!" |
