![]() Impeach George Bush Immigration Our government, for by and of the people, has been trying to renege on its promise of "One man One vote" since the contract was made in 1776. First, women were excluded. Then Black Africans. Then the Japanese. Gays. The latest group? Hispanics. Source: Linda Lindauer, 2006-03-28 Candidate: Big Government Why else the drive to make "illegal immigration" a felony? Surely no one is thinking of incarcerating 11 to 20 million more people in American prisons? No, the designation of "FELON" is for one reason only. Looking down the road five or ten years when these Guests become citizens, the Republican Party does NOT want to have to win their votes, and they certainly don't want them voting for Democrats. The solution? Prohibit them from voting in the first place. Why? Because Corporate America has bamboozled the Silent Majority into believing that Corporate America has its best interests at heart. Slogans like "Poor people don't employ anyone" have succeeded in electing an oligarchy in Washington that doesn't want its political power questioned. So they gerrymander by denying the vote to what is quickly becoming the new majority - immigrants. As for the rest of us, the Republican Party is now firmly embedded in American Churches where it is turning the minds and hearts of communicants from Jesus' entreaty that "My kingdomm is not of this world" to a political power game that excludes the very people Jesus came to serve - the poor, the weak, the stranger, the prisoner, the widow and orphan. As for the church, it has been warned: Rev 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches Add a comment to this Message in our Forums. While you're at it, check out our forums too! User Originated Comments: From: Julie Romero 2007-02-28 00:00:00 i'm not in favor of most of immigration issues i am married to an immigrate and i am a us citizen we have 7 children together, he is currently on an immigration hold since january 21, 2007 he was fully employed we dont know why he was arrested all we know is just an hold he has been fighting this for many years now and it seems to me its every 2 years that he gets arrested and has to go through the 90 day period then we have to bail him out again, my kids ask why? i have no answers he was brought here before he turned one year old and has never returned to mexico, so how could our government send him to a place he doesnt know, or have a place to live or to take my children to live? and why should my kids suffer growing up without him because of where he was born, he was only born there not raised. i ask if there is anyone that could help me in any way please contact me at julie@rsonline.net thank you From: Robbie 2006-04-27 00:00:00 and let's not forget elijah who took the baal and astaroth worshipping king and queen and their priests and handed them over to god in the worst way. From: Linda 2006-04-25 00:00:00 sean: it is all well and good to say you like the "religious comment" but unless one is willing to walk the walk, words are cheap. the fact is that jesus said we are to welcome the stranger among us. we are to feed the widow and orphan. and we are to visit the prisoner. he didn't say we were to count the monetary cost. he did say that when we do a kindness to the least among we do it unto him. and who among us would not do jesus a kindness if we had the chance. we do have a chance. we can welcome the stranger - the immigrant - no matter how he got here. jesus was an immigrant - he left judea and sojourned in egypt before returning to gallilee. had we needed a carpenter, would we have hired joseph for less than a living wage? would we have forced jesus and mary to beg on the streets for food, education, a room, medical attention? john the baptist questioned the authority of his day, he was put in prison and executed. would we have visited him? would we have heeded his message? would we have conspired with the authorities that killed him? as for the money, wood, hay and stubble. our riches are in heaven, not on earth. don't be double minded. religion isn't nice. it costs. count the cost, then decide. From: Robbie 2006-04-14 00:00:00 jesus was killed for disobeying the customs of his time. From: Sean 2006-04-13 00:00:00 i like your religious comment about jesus coming to serve the poor. but jesus himself obeyed the laws and customs in which he lived under. do you think it's fair that people can come illegally from mexico, while poor russians have the hardest time entering the country? is it fair that social programs that benefit the poor and elderly are being raided? is it fair that these people don't pay their hospital bill, so when i go into the endocrinology center i pick up their tab every three months? so your basically saying its alright to steal? we said we want them deported, because 29% of the prison population is already made up of illegal immigrants. so when some little girl gets rapped or molested we don't have adequate room for our own criminals, doesn’t sound fair to me, but it does to you. the vision about the gop not wanting them because they will vote for dems, come on! the only reason the dems want them here is exactly that reason. lets not forget history now, back when the chinese immigrants in the late 1800’s were working for dirt cheap labor on the railroads, what happened? they realized they were getting duped and demanded the same wages, so what do you think the illegals will do? they will demand higher wages, corporations will say no and fire them, adding millions more to the welfare payroll. in the words of john stossel, give me a break! estimates that state and local costs -ssociated with illegal immigration for public education, health care and incarceration, now about $36 billion a year, would balloon to $61.5 billion by 2010 -- a 70 percent increase -- and increase to $106.3 billion by 2020. you don’t see a cause for alarm in these statistics? this was a one time deal made in 1986 under the regan administration, 20 years later our leaders have broken their promise. sen. kennedy told everyone back in 1965 that this type of issue would have no dramatic impact on u.s. demographics. he was flat out wrong in his -ssumptions or he flat out lied. he recently said it would cost 240 billion to deport illegal immigrants. how much does it cost to keep them here, is it really worth it? name one country besides ours that tolerates illegal immigrants on the same scale we are tolerating, just name me one. so were the bad guys, that’s what you telling me? your thought about this is in accordance with the vision of the anointed. you will the power of those who are benighted and wave a magic wand and pretend everything is going to be alright don’t you? you hate white people and want to see them overrun by the insurgents who are s--king the welfare system dry? you don’t like to talk about painful trade-offs. you like to talk about happy “solutions” that will get rid of all these problems-at least in your imagination. http://themissouriconservativetimes.blog spot.com/ |
